Books and Hoops was started by Chris Bruff, a former Northwest Catholic High School standout and collegiate basketball player a
t the University of Maine, who has worked at Donovan Elementary School in Randolph, MA and currently works at Bowman Elementary in Lexington, MA. Working in two different school districts with varying levels of resources, Chris, noticed students did not have the same access to books in each school. His goal to make students lifelong readers manifested itself into Books and Hoops.
